The Awakening

Theatre Voce's inaugural production was the North American premiere of The Awakening, Julian Garner's award-winning Norwegian play. The Awakening ran for three weeks at the Tarragon Mainspace in June, 1999. It was remarkably well received by audiences and critics alike, and was nominated for four Dora Mavor Moore Awards, including Outstanding Independent Production.

Pains of Youth

Theatre Voce's second production was the Canadian premiere of Ferdinand Bruckner's German Expressionist classic Pains of Youth. The show ran for three weeks at the Canadian Stage Theatre on Berkeley Street in January-February, 2001. Pains of Youth received critical and popular acclaim, and was nominated for three Dora Mavor Moore Awards.
